what this is

a real session, no membership required.

we built the drop-in option for two kinds of families: the ones who want to try ATLAS before committing to a month, and the ones who just need a single session — a guest in town, a school break, a one-off training need. either way, it’s the real curriculum, the real coaches, and the real labs. your athlete walks in, gets assessed, and trains alongside the full-phase members for the day.

every session follows the same arc the rest of the academy runs: warm-up → block training → constraint-led drills → competition → conclusion. 90 minutes. coach adrian runs the rookie lab (ages 7–9). coach jaire runs the rotation lab (ages 10–14). placement is by skill, not age.

is this right for your athlete?

who the drop-in is built for.

ideal for

  • families who want to try a session before enrolling
  • athletes visiting from out of town
  • kids on school break wanting one focused training day
  • parents who heard about ATLAS and want to see it in person
  • existing members wanting to bring a friend or sibling

consider 4-pack or full phase if

  • you already know your athlete needs real skill development
  • you want them working through the curriculum over the full phase
  • you’re trying to save vs the $25 single rate ($17.50 in 4-pack, $16 in full)
  • award eligibility matters to your athlete

frequently asked

questions parents ask.

my child has never played basketball — is this okay?
yes, especially for the drop-in. the rookie lab (ages 7–9) is built specifically for beginners. coach adrian breaks every drill down to age-appropriate distances and progressions. mid-range for a 7-year-old means 5–7 ft from the basket — not a 17-foot pull-up. your athlete will be challenged, not overwhelmed.
what if my athlete is more advanced than the rookie lab?
placement is by skill, not age. the rotation lab (ages 10–14) handles intermediate athletes ready for game-speed reads. on arrival, coaches do a quick assessment — if your 9-year-old is ready for rotation lab, that’s where they’ll go. equally true the other way: a developing 11-year-old who needs more foundational work can stay in rookie lab without it feeling like a step down.
what should we bring to the session?
athletic shoes (court shoes preferred, but any clean sneakers work), a water bottle, comfortable athletic clothing, and a basketball if you have one — we provide balls if not. arrive 10 minutes early so coaches can do a quick assessment and place your athlete in the right lab.
can my athlete drop in mid-phase?
yes — drop-ins are welcome any session of the phase. weeks 1–2 are foundation-heavy (ideal for first-timers). weeks 3–4 are more game-speed and integration-focused, which is great if your athlete already has fundamentals but tougher for total beginners. if you’re new and joining mid-phase, we recommend pairing the drop-in with one extra one-on-one with a coach if possible — message us about availability.
do drop-ins get any awards or recognition?
not the formal phase awards (mvp, sharpshooter, completion certificate) — those are reserved for athletes who attend multiple sessions and complete the homework cycle. but every drop-in athlete gets a coach observation note after the session: 1 thing they did well, 1 thing to work on. it’s a real piece of feedback parents can use even if you never come back.
can i bring my child to watch first, then enroll?
absolutely. families are welcome to come watch any session for free. arrive a few minutes early, stay for the warm-ups, leave when you’ve seen what you need. if you want to actually try a session, that’s what the $25 drop-in is for. observation is free, participation is $25.
what’s the refund policy?
full refund if requested 24+ hours before your session date. cancellations less than 24 hours out are credited toward a future drop-in within 60 days (no cash refund). no-shows forfeit the session — we plan coaching and lab placement around your reservation, so a no-show takes a spot that another family could have filled.
can i drop in more than once?
you can — but at $25 a session, two drop-ins ($50) is more than the 4-pack ($70 covers 4 sessions, not 2). if your athlete is doing 2+ sessions in a phase, the math always favors the 4-pack. we’ll honor multi-drop-in if it’s truly an irregular schedule, but most families who try one drop-in and want more naturally upgrade to 4-pack or full phase.
do siblings get a discount?
yes. second sibling gets 15% off any tier, including the drop-in. dm us before purchase or apply the code SIB15 at checkout if you have one. if you registered both at full price, we’ll refund the difference — just send us a note.
