key rules — everyone in the building

complete the qr check-in and liability waiver before you play. no waiver, no play.
under 18
a parent or guardian must complete the waiver. 17-year-olds may self-check-in once it is on file.
respect-first
zero tolerance for abuse, fighting, or unsafe behavior — players, parents, and guests alike.
prohibited
no weapons or carry, alcohol, controlled substances, or smoking/vaping anywhere on-site.
footwear
basketball or athletic court shoes only. drinks and sports drinks are allowed on the court.
no on-site aed
staff provide basic first aid and call 911. there is no defibrillator on the premises.
belongings
atlas is not responsible for lost or stolen property. found items are held 60 days.
spectators
parents, friends, and guests are not covered by the participant waiver.

by submitting payment, entering the facility, or participating in any activity, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these community guidelines and to the agreements you sign at check-in.

01

waiver & qr code check-in

every participant must complete the atlas hoops qr code check-in and the general liability waiver before stepping onto the court or taking part in any activity.

  • the waiver is built into our qr code check-in system at the entrance.
  • check-in and the waiver must be completed before participation begins.
  • the signed waiver is the controlling legal agreement between you and atlas hoops. these guidelines describe how we operate.

teams, organizations & media crews

insurance required
groups that wish to use a single organizational agreement instead of individual waivers must carry valid general liability insurance.
additional insured
the policy must list "atlas hoops, llc" as an additional insured.
proof on file
proof of insurance must be provided before entry or use of the facility. if valid documentation is not provided, every individual must complete the standard waiver process.

if check-in is skipped or incomplete

completing check-in does not transfer responsibility for your own conduct to atlas hoops. anyone who participates without completing the qr code check-in and waiver — or who provides false information, ignores staff instructions, or enters without authorization — does so on their own and accepts full personal responsibility for any resulting injury, expense, or consequence.

no refunds are issued for failure to complete check-in or waiver requirements.

02

minors & 17-year-olds

a parent or legal guardian must complete the waiver for any participant under 18. a minor may not participate until that waiver is on file.

17-year-olds in open runs

guardian waiver first
17-year-olds are welcome to play in our open runs as long as their legal parent or guardian completes the waiver for them in advance.
then self check-in
once the waiver is on file, a 17-year-old may be dropped off and check themselves in for open runs.
please note

atlas hoops reserves the right to withhold a 17-year-old's participation until a completed waiver from their legal parent or guardian is verified on file.

guardian responsibilities (athletes under 14)

for training athletes under 14, parents and guardians are responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up, communicating any medical conditions or concerns in advance, and sending the athlete with proper shoes, gear, and hydration.

03

code of conduct

atlas hoops is a respect-first facility with zero tolerance for disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior. these standards apply to everyone in the building — players, parents, guardians, guests, and spectators alike.

everyone is expected to

  • treat timekeepers, scorekeepers, coaches, staff, and other athletes with respect;
  • clean up after themselves;
  • follow staff instructions and facility procedures;
  • keep sideline and spectator behavior positive and supportive.

not tolerated

abuse
verbal or physical abuse of any person results in immediate removal and may result in a facility ban.
fighting
fighting results in suspension and, where appropriate, a facility ban. any fight ends all open runs for the remainder of that day.
spitting
spitting on the floor or walls is prohibited.
gang displays
gang signs or gang-related displays are prohibited.
arguing
prolonged arguing that disrupts play or other participants is not permitted.

consequences — warnings, removal, suspension, or facility bans — are applied at staff discretion based on severity and circumstances. atlas hoops reserves the right to remove any individual at its discretion to maintain a safe environment. removal for conduct reasons is not eligible for a refund.

04

prohibited items

for the safety of everyone in the building — including minors — the following are strictly prohibited anywhere on the premises.

weapons & carry
no weapons of any kind, and no open or concealed carry of firearms.
alcohol
alcohol is not permitted anywhere on-site.
substances
no illegal drugs or controlled substances.
smoking & vaping
no smoking or vaping, including e-cigarettes, indoors or at entrances.

violations result in immediate removal without refund, and may be reported to authorities where required.

05

footwear & drinks

footwear

basketball or athletic court shoes only. non-athletic footwear, street shoes, and marking soles are not permitted on the court — both for safety and to protect the hardwood.

drinks & refreshments

drinks and sports drinks are allowed on the court. the following are available on-site:

gatorade · $2
bottled water · $1
fountain water · free

safety, medical & emergencies

your medical responsibility

by participating, you confirm that you (or your athlete) are physically healthy and cleared for athletic activity, with no medical condition that would make participation unsafe. you are solely responsible for your own medical decisions, treatment, and related expenses.

please know before you play

atlas hoops does not provide medical diagnosis, on-site medical supervision, or emergency medical services, and does not have an aed (defibrillator) on the premises.

in a medical emergency, staff will

  • call 911 immediately for any serious or uncertain situation;
  • provide basic first aid only, within the limits of staff training, using our on-site first-aid supplies;
  • for a minor, attempt to reach the parent or guardian listed at check-in — though calling 911 always takes priority;
  • keep the area clear and follow the direction of arriving emergency responders.

you are responsible for all costs of emergency treatment and transportation. please keep your emergency contact current at check-in.

09

training guidelines

our programs improve fundamentals, athleticism, and basketball iq. results vary by individual effort, consistency, and coachability. no guarantees are made regarding scholarships, team placement, playing time, or outcomes.

trainer availability
trainer assignments may vary due to scheduling needs. small group training is not private training. shooting form corrections are reserved for private sessions only.
athlete readiness
by enrolling, you confirm the athlete is physically healthy and cleared to train, has no conditions that would place them at risk, and understands the physical demands of basketball training.
contractor trainers
some trainers operate as independent contractors. by booking, you acknowledge that atlas hoops is not responsible for the actions, omissions, or negligence of independent contractors, to the extent permitted by law and as set out in your signed agreement.
missed & late
sessions begin and end on time. late arrivals do not receive make-up time. missed sessions are non-refundable unless covered by our cancellation policy.
removal
atlas hoops may remove any athlete — without refund — for unsafe or disruptive behavior, or disrespect toward coaches, staff, or peers.
10

payments & cancellations

all sessions and bookings must be paid in full to be reserved; unpaid reservations are not held.

  • atlas hoops may cancel sessions at its discretion. if atlas cancels, a full refund is issued.
  • any change you initiate is governed by our cancellation & rescheduling policy.

for all cancellation, rescheduling, and refund terms — including timing windows and fees — see our cancellation, reschedule & refund policy. where these guidelines mention "no refund," that is subject to the terms of that policy and applicable law.
