Welcome to ATLAS Hoops. By entering our facility, reserving court time, or participating in any program, you agree to comply with the following Community Guidelines. These policies are in place to ensure a safe, respectful, and high-quality experience for all athletes, families, and guests.
Please read carefully.
General Liability Waiver (Required)
All participants must complete the ATLAS Hoops QR Code Check-In and General Liability Waiver upon entry into the facility before participating in any activity.
no waiver, no play. no exceptions.
qr code check-in requirement
- The General Liability Waiver is included in our QR Code Check-In and Waiver system located at the entrance.
- All athletes must complete the check-in and waiver prior to stepping onto the court or participating in any activity.
- Participants 17 years old or younger must have the waiver completed by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized coach before participation.
Teams, Organizations, and Media Crews
Basketball teams, training organizations, and media production crews seeking to bypass the individual waiver process must:
- Carry valid general liability insurance
- List “ATLAS Hoops, LLC” as an Additional Insured on their policy
- Provide proof of insurance prior to entry or use of the facility
Failure to provide valid insurance documentation will require all individuals to complete the standard waiver process.
Assumption of Risk & Release of Liability
by entering atlas hoops, remaining on the premises, or participating in any activity, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
- you understand that basketball, athletic training, physical therapy, and recreational activity involve inherent risks, including but not limited to slips, falls, collisions, overexertion, equipment failure, and physical injury.
- you voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, whether known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable.
- you release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless:
- atlas hoops, llc
- dr. julian penaranda
- all owners, officers, employees, contractors, trainers, volunteers, and affiliates
from any and all claims, demands, actions, damages, costs, or liabilities arising from participation, presence in the facility, or use of equipment.
this release applies to all forms of injury, including but not limited to physical injury, medical complications, emotional distress, property damage, permanent disability, or death.
incomplete or improper check-ins
any of the following will void liability of atlas hoops, llc, dr. julian penaranda, employees, and affiliates:
- failure to complete the qr code check-in
- incomplete or falsified waiver information
- participation prior to waiver completion
- unauthorized entry or participation
- bypassing staff instructions or facility procedures
individuals who choose to participate without completing the waiver assume full personal responsibility for any injury, medical expenses, or legal consequences.
no refunds will be issued for failure to comply with waiver or check-in requirements.
medical responsibility
by participating, you confirm that:
- you (or your athlete) are physically healthy and cleared for athletic activity
- you have no medical condition that would make participation unsafe
- you understand atlas hoops does not provide medical diagnosis, emergency medical services, or on-site medical supervision unless otherwise stated
you are solely responsible for all medical expenses, emergency treatment decisions, and transportation to medical facilities.
legal jurisdiction & enforcement
- these terms shall be governed by the laws of the state of nevada.
- any legal action must be brought within clark county, nevada.
- if any portion of this agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining sections shall remain in full force and effect.
equipment & facility damage
participants are financially responsible for any damage caused during their time at atlas hoops.
wall damage
- under 1 ft x 1 ft: $100
- over 1 ft x 1 ft: $200
equipment damage
- charged at full market replacement value
this includes, but is not limited to: basketballs, rims, nets, padding, doors, walls, signage, and training equipment.
facility temperature & environmental conditions
summer (june – september)
- facility uses evaporative coolers
- indoor temperatures may range 78°f–88°f
- hydration is strongly encouraged before, during, and after sessions
- water station available in the lobby; water & gatorade available for purchase
fall/winter (october – february)
- indoor temperatures typically range 65°f–75°f
- radiant heaters are used in key areas
- dry air may cause static shock—use caution when touching metal surfaces
by participating, you acknowledge and accept these environmental conditions.
open run guidelines & game rules
game format
- games are 8 minutes or first to 12 points
- 2-point shots (inside the arc)
- 3-point shots (beyond the fiba 3-point line)
clock rules
- running clock except for:
- final minute:
- if a team has 10 or more points → clock does not stop
- if both teams have 9 or fewer points → clock stops only for fouls or jump balls
- clock stops for injuries
- clock does not stop for arguments
- final minute:
overtime format
- 1st ot: 2 minutes
- 2nd ot: 1 minute
- 3rd ot: sudden death (first team to score wins)
gameplay rules
- teams winning 3 games in a row must sit out the next game
- fouls must be clearly called using the word “foul”
- “and-1,” “up-top,” or unclear calls are not accepted
- if a shot is made while being fouled, points count and possession switches
- offensive fouls, over-the-back, and carries are enforced only in the final minute of play
behavior & conduct standards
atlas hoops is a respect-first facility. we operate with zero tolerance for disruptive, abusive, or unsafe behavior.
- clean up after yourself
- respect timekeepers, scorekeepers, coaches, staff, and other athletes
- verbal or physical abuse = immediate removal and facility ban
- arguing for more than 30 seconds = both teams removed
- spitting on the floor or walls = immediate removal
- gang signs are strictly prohibited
- fighting = suspension from 1 month to 1 year
- any fight automatically cancels all open runs for the remainder of the day
we reserve the right to remove any individual at our discretion to maintain a safe environment.
cancellations
- atlas hoops reserves the right to cancel sessions at its sole discretion
- if atlas cancels, a full refund will be issued
- participant-initiated changes must follow our cancellation & rescheduling policy
branding, promotional & media use
exclusive facility rental for commercial media (photo, video, promotional content) is $1,000 per hour (office excluded).

unauthorized commercial use without written approval will result in immediate cancellation without refund.
basketball training guidelines
expectations
our training programs are designed to improve fundamentals, athleticism, and basketball iq. results vary by individual effort, consistency, and coachability.
no guarantees are made regarding scholarships, team placement, playing time, or outcomes.
trainer availability
- trainer assignments may vary due to scheduling needs
- small group training is not private training
- shooting form corrections are reserved for private sessions only
athlete readiness
by participating, you confirm the athlete:
- is physically healthy and cleared to train
- has no conditions that would place them at risk
- understands the physical demands of basketball training
parental responsibility (under age 14)
parents and guardians are responsible for:
- timely drop-off and pick-up
- communicating any medical conditions or concerns
- sending athletes with proper shoes, gear, and hydration
disciplinary removal
atlas hoops reserves the right to remove any athlete—without refund—for:
- unsafe or disruptive behavior
- disrespect toward coaches, staff, or peers
independent contractor trainers
some trainers operate as independent contractors. by booking, you acknowledge and release atlas hoops from liability related to contractor actions, omissions, or negligence.
missed sessions & late arrivals
- sessions begin and end on time
- late arrivals do not receive make-up time
- missed sessions are non-refundable unless covered by our cancellation policy

payment terms
- all sessions must be paid in full to be reserved
- unpaid sessions will not be held
media & photography
photos and videos may be used for atlas hoops marketing, social media, and educational purposes. participation implies consent unless you submit a written opt-out request.

final notice
by submitting payment, entering the facility, or participating in any atlas hoops activity, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to all guidelines, policies, and responsibilities listed above.
